Dear Friends,

Pablo and I hope you and yours are well. Although, we had dreams of relaunching our dinner series on Juneteeth, we’ve decided it’s best to deliver this year’s menu and push back in-person dining for a few more weeks. Our feast begins with she-crab soup. We first came upon it in Edna Lewis and Scott Peacook’s seminal The Gift of Southern Cooking, sherry-rich and topped with fish roe, you’d be hard pressed to find a more decadent dish. Our salad will feature Weiser Farms watermelon and comes with tomatoes, heirloom mint, citrus vinaigrette, and peanuts. For the main course there’s cornish hen smothered in gravy served with my Nana’s oyster dressing and Southern style greens. A pork free version is available. I’ve decided to close the meal with coconut cheese pie, a favorite of our Hollywood Farmers’ Market customers. We’ll also have biscuits and peach ice cream available a la carte.

The Fine Print:

Reheating and plating instructions will be emailed. For deliveries we have a $50 pre-delivery fee minimum. All sales are final.

Delivery Date and Time

We will be delivering this menu on Saturday, June 19th, between 1:30PM and 4:30PM.

Pick up is available the same day from noon-1PM at Porridge + Puffs (2801 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90057) at no charge. Pick ups are contactless. When you arrive text me at 646.391.4529 and we will bring your order to you. It’s best to double park on Occidental.

Fees

Fees are $10 within 9 miles of 90036 and $15 up to 14 miles. Those outside the delivery range, will pay extra. We accept payment via Venmo (@bell-dePorres) and Zelle (info@de-porres.com). If you prefer to pay by credit card, we'll add a 4% fee. Tips, while never expected, are always appreciated.

Contactless Deliveries

We will text you when en route to your home. You can then expect a text and a knock on the door once we’ve arrived. We ask that you allow us to drop off your food without you leaving your home until we are at least six feet away. If you need to step out before our scheduled arrival, please leave an ice filled cooler on your doorstep so that the food stays cold.
